Just a quick note while I'm on my lunch break....
I teach kindergarten twice a week, and the kids are as cute as can be. They always babble away to me in Chinese, and I never understand a word. I just smile and nod (occasionally say "bu dong" - don't understand - when it appears they're waiting for a response). Well today we were sitting in a circle playing a very energetic adaptation of duck duck goose and one little boy leans over to me with this huge grin on his face and says "wo xihuan ni". I understand that! It means "I like you" Oh my god, sooooo cute. So I told him I liked him too, then he gave me this fast little kiss on my arm and started giggling. I can't handle how cute that is!!!! It's moments like that that make me so happy to be here.

too cute! hey, i have a couple of friends that decided to learn chinese.. i\'m gunna send them to your blog for inspiration ;) i downloaded the pimsleur manderin course to give them and my gf and i gave one lesson a go.. some of sounds made us giggle ;)**damn, i found a blog from a girl from NS who was in korea doing what you do... she had a cam and had lots of pretty pictures in her blog.. i wish i could find it again.. take more pics for us!!!
