Must start taking pictures of some of the signs here! Now, I know that there are bound to be mistakes when using a language that is not your mother tongue, but it never ceases to amuse me! Especially when these mistakes are boldly displayed in a major public arena. I mean, you think that at a city's main train station, someone would realise how very necessary that "L" is in Public Lounge! While waiting for my train to Beijing, I noticed a large sign pointing the way to the "Boiler Boom". It's an important boom, the boiler boom.
One of my favourite Chinglish signs was in the bathroom on the train (a squattie, of course):
When train is stabling, please not to flush the closet pot.
Haha! And I haven't even begun to get into the translations on menus... that'll be a story for another time.
