Sixteen hopping, countless squished. Yep, that's what I did to amuse myself on the drive out to the cabin: counted frogs that hippity-hopped across the highway. I think 16 is a lot of frogs, not to mention all the smooshed roadkill froggies. I was beginning to feel like I was in Magnolia and it had just rained frogs. Good thing it didn't though, I was out of windshield wiper fluid. Oh, I also belted out tunes that I only partially know the words to.
I had 4 lovely days of roughing it at Kat's cabin. And by roughing it I mean we survived on a diet of beer, bbq and Paula's endless supply of baked goods. Mmm... cinnamon buns and cream cheese icing. Brownies and cream cheese icing. Jam filled pastries and cream cheese icing. Spoon and cream cheese icing!
Not much to recount of the lake days. Finally got to wear my new swimsuit and lay on the dock in the sun. Read a book and lazed on the porch. Played with the kids. Played board games. Ate. Drank. Slept.
Fantastic.
Now the work week has only one day left. Good, I'm ready for more playtime.
